Inspired by Kathy's challenge over at Scrap Our Stash, I decided to delve into the insanity that serves as my scrap room. I have a two drawer SteelCase lateral file cabinet in my scrap room/office thanks to my employer. Since I have no paperwork related to my job I didn't think I had much use for it, but it works beautifully to house a large chunk of my tools and things to embellish! I was so disgusted with the mess in there that I had it half emptied before I even thought to take a Before picture, but here's the After:
Believe me, this is MUCH better! The box full of adhesive refills used to sit on top of my scanner, which could explain the large pile of "To-Scan" stuff that is sitting on my desk!

Shower Invites - Final Product
Here's the finished product for the Bridal Shower invites I made.
I went on quite the quest looking for these red pearls! I was able to find multi-packs of six different colors pretty easily, but I would have needed 8 of those packages! I really don't think I'll ever need a hundred pearls in the other 5 colors that were in the package. Just a hunch. So I went on a quest looking for a single package of nothing but red ones, like the ones I'd found at Archivers months ago. Trouble is, Archivers told me they were a Christmas only product. I know I should have called first, but it was a worthy excuse for an impromptu road trip! :)
I did a total of 140 passes through my Cuttlebug on this project, and considered embossing the envelope flaps as well. I wasn't very happy with how the flaps turned out though, there was a wrinkle line that went the entire length of the design, but maybe that was because the paper is such light weight. So I went with plain envelopes, but I think there was more than enough details to the cards that a plain envelope works just fine!

Make & Takes
These are Make & Takes I made for a scrappy get together this past weekend. I used this tutorial on SCS and some papers out of my stash for the sample. The frog on the outside is from SU! and the phrase on the inside is from CTMH.
I wanted to something that wasn't a card since I knew we would have some new people joining us that weren't card makers. I had the two pink and blue papers and had been looking for an excuse to use them and get them out of my stash. They were 8x8 sheets being clearanced off at Michaels a few months back, and everyone knows I couldn't resist the word Sale! I think I'll make a batch of them for the girls at work for an Easter treat! :)

Swing On By Swap Card
I absolutely LOVE this stamp set! When I signed up for the Mega Swap, I had big ideas of trying to use up as many of my pre-cut card bases as possible. I'm not completely thrilled with how the layout works on this card, but I think the idea is pretty cute!
The set is from Flourishes, and the card base is a nifty pearlescent swirly tri-fold card. The inside reads "Swing By Sometime" and I thought that worked perfectly for a Lets Get Together type of card. I had fun coloring these in with my CTMH pencils, even though I'm not 100% in love with the finished product. I can see this one being revisited in my future!

February Goals
Whoo boy, February was not a very productive month for me! Between OT at work and a sore back, I didn't have much time for creating or for surfing! Here's what I accomplished in February:
Swap cards - 8/month - Check (10 this month)
Christmas Cards - 8/month - Check
Other Cards - 1/week at least - I think this was the only thing I actually exceeded! (35 shower invites!)
Challenges - 1/week at least - I did two all month
Use at least 90% stash for each project - Check
Scrapbook Pages - 9/month - Ummm... no
I guess all things considered I did pretty well, although I'm officially on the "Bad Blogger" list since I pretty much ignored my blog for a week. Well, it's a new month, and this one will be better! I have a few deadlines on the horizon, but I think they're spaced far enough out to not be overwhelming. Here's to a fantastic March!
